GETTING OUR adolescents INTO TENNIS

We are thrilled to announce that we will be starting the G.O.A.T. (Getting Our Adolescence in Tennis) Initiative. Focusing on building family relationships and introducing our youth to the sport of tennis at a more primitive age. The average age that most kids start tennis is at 5 or 6 years of age.

Charlotte Black Tennis Club is calling for a shift in paradigms to impact the choice of sports for African-American youths. We aim to close the disparaging diversity gap in the sport of tennis. We understand that representation matters and hope that this initiative will spark excitement within our communities. This program will highlight all of the substantial benefits that tennis can provide like the following:

Physical & Mental Health Benefits

Bonding Opportunities for Families

Networking Opportunities for Parents

Expansion of children's friend groups

Scholarship Opportunities

Stronger Communities
